Gloucestershire Development Loan Fund Limited (GDLF) lends money to businesses and social enterprises throughout the county when they are unable to raise finance through the normal lenders such as banks and building societies; and as a result, this helps create and save jobs, strengthens business and increases general prosperity within the community.

Support for business in the local community
GDLF is one of many Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) across the UK. The aim is to help people who have had trouble raising finance from the mainstream lenders to start up or expand existing businesses.
In the current economic climate, such Community Loan Funds will surely play an increasingly important role in funding both new and established businesses and combating financial exclusion.
GDLF has provided me with not only funding but a fresh perspective, allowing me to see beyond the day-to-day running of my business and assess its future potential.

In October 2008, the project management role at GDLF was taken over by Fredericks Foundation, a Registered Charity based in Surrey. The personnel remain the same, and so does the commitment to Gloucestershire. For more information, please look at the PR/Press Release page.
